UEFA Champions League: Barcelona vs Liverpool Match Preview, Team News and Prediction

Liverpool outclassed Huddersfield on Saturday in the Premier League and Barcelona celebrate their 1-0 win against Levante as they clinch the La Liga title for the 26th time.

Liverpool were lethal as they managed to score five goals without conceding any. Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane both score two goals each after Keita scored on the 15th second. It was just the kind of game which the players and the fans could have asked for before the tie against Barcelona. Mane continuing his good form, Salah gaining the momentum and Keita regaining his form will add a lot of positives to there game when they face FC Barcelona in the UCL. 

Barcelona, on the other hand, were far from their best. Levante put them under pressure and Enis Bardhi was denied by the post. Anyways, Messi's strike made sure had Barcelona emerged out victorious and defend the La Liga crown. Barcelona will not be happy with this nervy performance before a crucial Champions League game but with Messi in their starting 11 they will be high on confidence and will impose threats.

For Barcelona both Lionel Messi and Sergio Busquets came off the bench in their 1-0 win against Levante but they will be starting against Liverpool. Luis Suarez and Philippe Coutinho will be high on energy to perform against their former club. Liverpool are concerned about Roberto Firmino, but Klopp is expecting him to recover from the groin injury and return on Wednesday against Barcelona. Fabinho is another Liverpool player who missed their match against Huddersfield.

Prediction:

Liverpool will be facing Barcelona high on confidence after that 5-0 home win and Barcelona are having their undefeated record in the Champions League home games. I am favouring Barcelona with a 3-1 win but they must be careful as Liverpool will be ready for the counter attacks.
